Rebecca's House will help you transition to a healthy lifestyle, free from disordered eating behaviors including anorexia, bulimia and overeating. Our unique eating disorder programs have helped many clients overcome eating disorder issues, identify and implement healthier coping skills, and live happy, healthy lives.
The Programs
Our programs allow clients to work on eating disorder issues, identify and implement healthier coping skills, and receive mealtime guidance in a structured, supportive, and understanding environment. You will learn to recognize life situations and issues that trigger eating disorder behaviors, which will help you overcome your symptoms and eventually get rid of the eating disorder entirely.
Because we believe it is important to experience real life situations during recovery, we are located near various stores, businesses, banks, entertainment, exercise facilities, restaurants, and 12-step meetings. We provide a supportive environment where you can practice healthy behaviors and learn new ways to relate to yourself and others.
Our multidisciplinary team includes a licensed therapist, psychologist, master-level counselors, registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, and a physician. All have extensive experience in eating disorders treatment and co-occurring disorders. Just as important, however, most of our staff members have suffered from an eating disorder in the past and successfully recovered. This means we have a great understanding of what you are going through, and are familiar with the treatment process on a personal level.
Our programs include the Intensive Outpatient Program, Partial Hospitalization Program, and Adolescent Program. Depending on your condition and lifestyle, we will determine which program is best for you.
Our Methods
For long-term eating disorder recovery, we believe that clients must internalize healthy eating habits. We will help you internalize healthy eating behaviors through one of our programs that we tailor to suit your individual needs. Our structured programs include individualized treatment plans, small groups, individual therapy sessions, sessions with a dietitians and exercise physiologist, homework assignments, nutrition education, body image work, and guided imagery.
Because of the difficulties and feelings that surface during mealtimes or eating in social situations, we provide a structured yet flexible meal plan and eat in a group setting that promotes trust and reduces anxiety. By eating together, we help confront and reduce fears surrounding food intake and its effects on metabolism and weight. This will help you return to normal, healthy eating patterns that you can continue after you graduate from treatment.
