Rebecca's House is committed to helping people recover and find long-term abstinence. Our sober living program for men in early recovery from addictions including drugs, alcohol, and overeating disorders is above and beyond what other treatment programs can offer. Many men that struggle with issues such as drug and alcohol addictions may find themselves substituting food for these more prominent addictions. The sober living program at Rebecca's House provides a healthy environment in which healthy eating habits and nutrition education can take place. Clients have the opportunity to learn how to prepare healthy, nutritious dishes at each meal.
The men's sober living environment at Rebecca's House has a full time, live-in staff resident to aim individuals living in the house and resolve any problems or issues that may arise. We believe that our supportive environment is the perfect transitional step from a treatment center back into the real world. Our clients have the freedom to participate in school, work or other volunteer type jobs during the day and also have daily responsibilities in the house in order to enhance accountability and maintain structure important to early recovery.
After the day has been completed, we provide transportation to and from various 12 step and support based meetings. We have a cottage in which clients can meditate and have the opportunity to meet with their sponsors. The sober living program also provides each client with a recovery coach to help maintain focus on recovery goals and personal accountability after an eating disorder inpatient program. The recovery coach also helps individuals find resources for recovery in their own communities if they do not live close to the sober living home. We also provide access to a therapist, exercise and nutrition specialist, medical doctor, psychiatrist, massage therapist, registered dietitian and life coach, if so desired.
