As an extended care home, we provide affordable transitional living for those who have completed some form of inpatient treatment or for individuals who may not need the structure of an inpatient environment.
Our recovery home is a safe place to learn life skills and heal emotional wounds while establishing healthy lifestyles in a real-life environment. Our levels system gives clients structure, direction, and support as they transition into healthy, independent living free from the eating disorder.
During the initial levels of care, clients attend our Eating Disorder Outpatient Programs located just a short distance from the house. As they progress in their recovery, many take on responsibilities such as going to school, work, or other activities. Many of our house managers and staff have years of eating disorder recovery themselves and walk with our clients as they progress through our programs, free from the obsessive thoughts of food, weight, diet and body image. This is true recovery!
A Holistic Internalized Approach
We believe an individual must work on their emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and physical self to recover from an eating disorder. Our structured program is tailored specifically for each client to develop personal insight and create personal, healthy, intuitive choices about food, nutrition, and self-care.
As a transitional program, we do not lock bathrooms or monitor every bite of food. However, we do provide safety, structure, and tools to prevent relapse. Our approach focuses on conscious awareness and personal decision making instead of external controls that clients eventually rebel against.
We help clients internalize healthy eating behaviors in place of compulsive self-defeating behaviors. The daily program is filled with activities to help our clients realize they can live a healthy, happy life free of their eating disorder.
