The premier Eating Disorder Treatment Programs™ of Orange County, Rebecca´s House, is located in the beach community of San Clemente, California. A member of the Sovereign Health of California Treatment Center family, a Joint Commission accredited and state licensed behavioral health treatment center.

Because we believe it is important to experience recovery in real life situations, our location provides access to shopping, businesses, banks, entertainment, exercise facilities, restaurants, and 12-step meetings, all within close distance. We, provide a supportive environment where people can practice healthy behaviors and learn new ways to relate to themselves and others.

Our programs allow individuals to work on their eating disorder issues, identify and implement healthier coping skills, and receive mealtime guidance in a structured environment where they feel supported and understood. In this environment, patients begin to recognize life situations and issues that trigger eating disorder behaviors, and they can process their experiences with their peers and staff in order to gain insight and increase mastery over their symptoms.

For long-term eating disorder recovery, we believe that clients must internalize healthy eating habits. At Rebecca’s House Eating Disorders Treatment Program, we help our patients to internalize healthy eating behaviors with tools that work specifically for clients with eating disorders.

An initial assessment and interview allows our counselor and client to tailor a program to meet the individual’s unique requirements, be it treatment of anorexia or any other eating disorder. Our structured programs include individualized treatment plans, small groups, individual therapy sessions, sessions with a dietitians and exercise physiologist, homework assignments, nutrition education, body image work, and specific guided imagery.

Each client receives educational materials, homework assignments, self-awareness exercises, and corresponding guided imagery to reinforce new thought and behavior patterns.

The homework assignments allow clients to see their progress as their self-awareness, understanding, and healing take place. Guided imagery allows clients the opportunity to get comfortable with a healthy self image and explore a life free from the disordered eating.

Because of the difficulties and feelings that surface during mealtimes or eating in social situations, we provide a structured, yet flexible, meal plan and eat in a group setting that promotes trust and reduces anxiety. By eating together, we help confront and reduce fears surrounding food intake and its effects on metabolism and weight. This allows for gradual resumption of normal, healthy eating patterns that can be continued after leaving the program.

The Eating Disorder Treatment Programs™ include the following treatment components:

  • Individualized Treatment Plans
  • Didactic, Educational, and Experiential Groups
  • Meditation, Yoga and Art Expression Classes
  • Individual Sessions with a Counselor, Registered Dietitian, and Exercise Physiologist
  • Family Therapy
