EMDR Therapy - A Brief Overview: Jocelyne will present an overview of EMDR and how it allows clients to disregard symptoms, negative behaviors, negative beliefs, distressing emotions, distressful sensations that are linked to past negative unprocessed memories (information) that have been stored inappropriately in the brain.

Rebecca's House Featured at the Moment of Change Conference for Recovery Professionals

Rebecca's House Eating Disorder Treatment Programs is proud to be exhibiting at "The Moment of Change Intervention - Approaches for Professionals," a three-day conference scheduled for the dates of September 28th to the 30th 2009 and hosted at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. The conference will feature issues related to intervention, disease concepts including eating disorders and chemical dependency, family participation, and practical business considerations.

Observations and insights from 46 of the recovery industry's leading professionals will be highlighted in various workshops and seminars.

The conference is designed to prepare attendees to accomplish the following three objectives:

Apply clinical skills from a broad range of professional core functions including alternative approaches to interventions, different therapy approaches, and the mechanics of intervening.
Cite advances in the field of addiction and intervention from practice innovations.
Differentiate among key philosophies of intervention and integrate methods into practice.

Conference Topics: Hot topics discussed at the Moment of Change conference will include intervention, addiction treatment and recovery, starting a recovery business, family-focused recovery, and new methods of treatment. Four keynote speakers will present in addition to the 30 workshops available to attendees. Please visit the conference web page for a complete list of speech and workshop topics.

Continuing Education Hours: Conference participants who pay the tuition fee and complete an online attendance/evaluation form will be eligible to receive a continuing education certificate. Attendees may be eligible for up to 18 CE hours.
