Dream Every Day: It's Good For Your Health

As we get older, our lives become increasingly hectic. Everyday, we wake up with certain goals in minds and specific tasks we need to get done. Our days are spent on work, family and school priorities with little time left over for much else. Many adults seldom practice the hobbies they once loved or see their friends less and less frequently. This is quite common nowadays but that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything to change it.

If you feel unhappy and unsatisfied with the way your day to day life is unfolding, it may be the perfect time to try something different. Get back in touch with yourself and the things you love by setting aside time for self-enrichment. This could mean many things, such as reading a book for fun, planting a garden, bicycling, or whatever other activity you enjoy.

Just taking time to daydream every once in awhile is good for you too. Believe it or not, you can still get in touch with the imagination you used so much as a child. Daydreaming or just doing nothing is not a sign of laziness if done in the right measure. It can be a time to let your mind and body recharge. If your career requires you to be creative, this is the perfect way to get ideas going if you’ve been feeling stuck. Either way, we end up feeling refreshed and energized. our minds and bodies can only work so hard before beginning to break down. Remember to treat yourself with kindness and respect by making time to do the things that make you happy.
